Episode 63: Plant Medicine, Ritual & Healing The Sacred Feminine

Lauren LaRose is a modern day witch - a certified herbalist, sacred feminine wisdom keeper and ceremonial space holder. Her gift is bringing women together in community to help them remember who they are so that they can come home to themselves. Healing the sacred feminine and the sisterhood wound is at the core of Lauren’s vision as the founder of the Wild Roses Festival.

In this episode, Lauren shares her story of trusting an inner nudge to leave nursing school and follow the calling to herbal medicine. From this first nudge to many other nudges since, she has allowed her intuition to help guide her onto the path that has now led her to creating an annual women’s gathering called the Wild Roses Festival. What start out as a simple potluck gathering for women to connect in community has grown to a 1,000 person festival in just 4 short years. Why you may ask? It is simple, women are remembering the healing power of gathering in community and that is exactly what the Wild Roses Festival is all about.

In this episode we explore:

  • What led Lauren to be a Herbal Clinician?

  • How she balances the clinical side of plant medicine while still following the spiritual side of what it means to be a healer?

  • What reclaiming and identifying as a Witch meant for her?

  • How a simple potluck turned into the most magical annual women’s festival?
