Turns out, I was wrong.
There was a season of my life where the week before my period felt like a monthly emotional apocalypse.
On paper, everything looked "good": three kids, a marriage, a career, a full life.
But inside?
I was bone-deep tired no matter how much I slept.
My brain felt like Swiss cheese.
The mental load of being "the one who remembers everything" felt suffocating.
I'd find myself rage-crying over something tiny—then drowning in guilt after.
I told myself, "It's just PMS. It's just being a mom. It's just midlife."
But this wasn't my first rodeo with my body trying to get my attention.
I used to think PMS rage was just part of being a woman.
From Burnout to Balance
My journey into women's health started years earlier, during a season of fertility struggles.
A doctor suggested major surgery as the "solution" to my cycle issues. No conversation about my hormones. No curiosity about my stress load. Just: "We can take that out."
My whole body screamed NO.
That was my first line in the sand. I realized no one was coming to explain my body to me. If I wanted to understand what was actually happening—I was going to have to get in the driver's seat.
So I did. I dove deep into understanding my cycle, my hormones, my body's language. And eventually, I got pregnant. Three times, actually—though not without complications, pre-term births, and a whole lot of learning along the way.
But here's what I didn't expect: Having babies didn't mean I was done learning about my body. It meant I was just getting started.
After my third child was born, life hit hard. COVID lockdown with two kids under five and a newborn. Then, a few years later, my dad died. Two massive burnout moments, back to back.
My hormones went wild. My moods felt uncontrollable. I felt like I couldn't breathe.
The PMS that I thought I'd figured out? It came back with a vengeance. The exhaustion, the rage-crying, the brain fog, the suffocating mental load—all of it intensified in ways I hadn't experienced before.
And slowly—through hormone science, nero-somatics, and a whole lot of self-compassion—I rebuilt my relationship with my cycle. Again.
I deepened my own personal work in using the wisdom of my four phases of my cylce (hello, inner seasons) to cycle-sync my life. I reminded myself that my hormones weren't the enemy—they were actually trying to help me navigate the stress, the grief, the overwhelm. I realized that burnout wasn't a personality flaw... it was my biology responding to a life that was completely out of sync with how my body actually works.
And once I understood why I felt the way I did—especially in midlife, especially in the second half of my cycle—I could finally do something about it.
My marriage softened. My parenting felt less like martyrdom and more like partnership. My burnout shifted into a grounded, sustainable rhythm. And I finally felt like my body and I were on the same team again.
That's why I do this work.
Why I Do This Work
"Why am I only learning this in my 40s?"
This is what I hear from almost every woman I work with.
We're taught to push through. To be everything to everyone. To ignore the signals our bodies send us month after month, year after year. And then we're shocked when we end up burnt out, hormonally chaotic, and disconnected from ourselves.
But here's the truth: You're not broken. You've just been living in a world that wasn't designed for cyclical beings.
My mission is to change that. To help women understand their bodies, trust their cycles, and live in sync with their natural rhythms—so they can stop surviving and start thriving.
Because midlife isn't the end. It's the beginning of your power. And I'm here to help you reclaim it.
I'm not your typical hormone coach
I don't just throw supplements at you and call it a day. And I don't believe in one-size-fits-all protocols that ignore the reality of your actual life.

I'm a Capricorn sun with Leo rising (which explains the drive and the sass), an Enneagram Type 1 (hello, perfectionism and reformer energy), and a Generator in Human Design (so yes, I have a lot of energy—but I've also learned when to use it and when to rest).
Books, fresh flowers, crystals, hot tea and the mountains are the things that bring me joy and keep me ground, especially in my luteal phase.
I am also the Executive Director of the Menopause Mission, which is a non-profit organization in Alberta that is on the mission to make the “M” word Mainstream. We host 2 Menopause Summits each year as well as monthly gatherings to help women feel educated and empowered during this powerful transition.

Why "Shee Revival"?
You might be wondering about the name. Here's the story:
Shee stands for Sacred Healing through Empowerment & Embodiment.
And Revival? Because that's what this work is all about—reviving your connection to yourself, to your body, to the deep inner knowing that's been there all along.
Somewhere along the way, we forgot how to listen to our bodies. We lost the teachings about our cyclical power. We started believing that our hormones were the enemy and that our symptoms were proof we were broken.
But we're not broken. We're cyclical. We're seasonal. We're designed to ebb and flow, expand and contract, move through phases—just like nature does.
Shee Revival is about reclaiming that wisdom. It's about understanding your body's inner language. It's about living in sync with your hormones instead of constantly working against them.
It's about joy, passion, hope, and—most importantly—unapologetically showing up as your truest, most authentic self.
